Where is the camp?
Euroventure is held at theDowntown Lodge (DTL) in Grindelwald, Switzerland. It is a special kind of hostel, which differs clearly from hotels.
DTL is a village of 5 lodges. Three completely equipped lodges with a total of 185 beds are rented as group houses. In the two other lodges there are a total of 92 beds. Right in the heart of Grindelwald, DTL is the right accommodation for groups of up to 290 persons, just five minutes from the train station and mountain railways. The Lodge is the best starting point for hiking areas of the breath-taking landscape around the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Right around the corner, you will find many restaurants and shops.
In the summer there are many things to discover in Grindelwald: hiking, biking, swimming, etc.
How do we get there?
By car: Via Bern or Lucerne on the highway no. 8 to Interlaken. Take the exit Wilderswil and follow the road up to Grindelwald.
By train: There are regular connections to Interlaken East. From there another 35 minute train ride and you will arrive in Grindelwald. The Downtown Lodge is a 5 minute walk from the train station. Walk until you see a sign for Euroventure or the Downtown Lodge on the right side of the road. It is behind the Mini-Golf course.
By bus: Groups arriving by bus will have to load and unload about 100 Meters up the street from the Downtown-Lodge at the Kongress-Saal parking-lot. Busses are not allowed to stop on the main road directly in front the camp.
If you are going to arrive later or much earlier, please inform us about your arrival time. Camp registration begins at noon on Saturday.
