Ministry Leadership Conference:

25 to 29 March 2022

Dubrovnik, Croatia

Program

We pray this will be an incredible time of refreshment, relaxation, and fellowship together.

You will have the opportunity to receive encouraging and challenging biblical teaching brought to us by Dr Gene Wilkes, President and Professor of New Testament and Leadership of BH Carroll Theological Institute. Gene embraces the Institute’s mission to “equip men and women called to serve Christ in the diverse and global ministries of his church.” He has authored several books, including Jesus On Leadership: Timeless Wisdom on Servant Leadership and A New Way of Living: Practicing the Beatitudes every day. Gene received his Ph.D. in New Testament Studies and his M.Div. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Greek.

Gene Wilkes served as Senior Pastor of Legacy Church, Plano, TX, for twenty-six years prior to coming to Carroll Institute. During his local church ministry, Legacy Church transitioned to become “a mission outpost where every member is a missionary in his or her mission field.”

Along with his teaching ministry, Gene has written for various publications on topics from biblical commentary and Bible studies to devotionals and church administration/leadership issues. He speaks nationally and internationally on the topic of servant leadership and as a Bible teacher. Some of the international sites include Mexico, Cuba, China, Vietnam, Albania, Greece, Russia, Canada, Portugal, Honduras, and Tanzania. He was the speaker at our Ministry Leadership Conference in 2015 and has taught several courses offered to the IBC through our partnership with BH Carroll Theological Institute. Gene loves the international church and is excited about joining us for this conference to encourage and equip us.

In addition, we are going to have a great variety of breakout sessions that will appeal to staff and volunteer leaders alike.

This conference is for pastors, their spouses, and all church leaders…anyone who would benefit from solid Christian teaching on leadership.

The program will start at 18:00 on Friday, 25 March, and finish with breakfast on Tuesday, 29 March. The MULTIPLY conference (church-planting) will take place on Tuesday morning and early afternoon.

Afternoons are free for sightseeing (one group tour will be provided).
