Ministry Leadership Conference Set for Athens

The International Baptist Convention’s Ministry Leadership Conference will be held 24-28 March at the Amarilia Hotel, Vouliagmeni, Athens, Greece.  The theme of the conference will be “Healthy Leaders/Healthy Churches.”

Martin Sanders will be the featured speaker.  Sanders is the founder and president of Global Leadership Inc, a non-profit organization designed to develop and empower the next generation of Christian leaders.  In addition, he serves as the director of the Doctor of Ministry program at Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, New York.  He has served as a professor, pastor, and consultant and has the vision, passion, and skills to see development in leaders at both the local and global levels.

Sanders has written a number of books and is a sought-after speaker around the world.

He and his late wife Dianna have four grown children.

Ingrid Davis will be leading one of the seminars and available as a counselor.  Davis is a leader, teacher, mentor, and certified leadership coach.  She specializes in leadership coaching, cross-cultural training, and character-based leadership development.

Davis and her husband Chuck previously served as missionaries in Mali, Africa. Chuck pastors a church in Greenwich, Connecticut.  They have 3 grown children.

A group bus tour to Corinth will be offered on Monday.  The ancient city of Athens is approximately 20 kilometers from the conference site, easily reachable by public transport or taxi.  Saturday, 25 March, is a Greek national holiday and the museums and archeological sites will be closed that day.  It is recommended that you arrive a day early or stay a day later to have time to explore the city.
