Coronado Bible Church, Coronado, Panama: Senior Pastor

Looking For: Senior Pastor

Location: Coronado, Panama

Calling ALL Awesome Pastors…

Are you ready to preach, teach and reach the lost and the found?

Do you desire to have an international impact for Jesus, that you and your family can experience together?

Does the opportunity to Pastor an elder-led flock encourage you that you will not be leading alone, but with a team?

Then, read on and consider Coronado Bible Church as your new home!

Who We Are:

Coronado Bible Church is an English speaking, non-denominational, Bible believing, Christ-centered community that exists to glorify God by developing fully-devoted followers of Jesus Christ.  Coronado Bible Church is located in the beautiful tropical country of Panamá.  We are located approximately two hours west of Panamá City, Panamá.  Coronado is a beautiful beach community located on the shores of the warm Pacific Ocean!

The church was established approximately 15 years ago and operates in a collaborative leadership position with the Elders, currently with three elders and one elder emeritus.  Our church body is unique, in that it has a seasonal population with many attendees coming for only 5-6 months a year.  We do have a substantial base group of full time members as well.  There is a growing number of young families with children and teens creating an opportunity for all ages ministry.  The young children’s program is steered by an under-privileged children’s foundation founder.  The ministry for teenagers is led by one of our missionary elders.

Coronado Bible Church is experiencing significant growth, the last several months have seen many conversion decisions, multiple baptisms and an amazing moving of the Holy Spirit in answers to prayer.  Under the leadership of a desirable candidate, CBC will continue that trajectory.

Seeking A Senior Pastor:

The Pastor/Shepherd who will teach, lead, challenge and inspire

We are seeking a Senior Pastor/Shepherd to lead a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic congregation, with congregants of diverse church backgrounds.

The ideal Pastor/Shepherd will give opportunity to people who do not know the Lord, to become children of God (John 1:12), develop the congregation into Disciples who will “…not be ashamed of the Gospel” (Romans 1:16), …go into the community weekly and be a light unto the world (Mark 16:15 and Matthew 5:16), a living gospel with the evidence of the Holy Spirit that indwells us (Acts 1:8).  The Pastor/Shepherd will help us discern where we are lacking and challenge us to continually become more Christ-like; and preach powerfully and faithfully.  Sermons and teachings should be directed toward molding and maturing us after God’s will.  If discipline is warranted, the Pastor/Shepherd will unreservedly apply Biblically principled correction as taught in Matthew 5:23-24 and others.

The Pastor/Shepherd will care for individuals by seeking to know them, to connect on the human as well as spiritual level.  We do not expect the Pastor/Shepherd to carry every burden of individually caring all the time.  But, when the need arises, will become involved in providing appropriate individual sharing, caring and discipleship.

The Senior Pastor is the spiritual leader of the Church and is responsible to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, to teach biblical revelation, to challenge us all to higher purpose, to engage in pastoral care and to provide administrative leadership in all areas of church life and function.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to relate to both young and older English speakers as well as Panamanian attendees with limited English ability.  The candidate will demonstrate a preaching style founded on solid Biblical teaching and should inject humor and personal interest into sermons to relate Biblical principles; and maintain the attention of a broad spectrum of listeners.  The ideal candidate will not be locked into a denominational dogma but will preach and shepherd based on clear Biblical teachings.

Ideally, the Pastor/Shepherd will lead by example, knowledge and grace, in truth and in Spirit.

Pastor Qualifications:

Aviano Baptist Church, Aviano, Italy: Senior Pastor

Job Title: Senior Pastor

Location: Aviano, Italy

CITY OF AVIANO
Nestled about an hour north of Venice and approximately four and a half hours east of Milan lies the enchanting city of Aviano. With a population of around 9,000 residents, it serves as a cozy haven for numerous military families. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Dolomites mountain range in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Aviano offers a wealth of experiences waiting to be explored. The location has a small town atmosphere with easy access to the best of all Europe has to offer. Findings from Aviano show that the area has been populated since the Bronze Age and many historians believe that a commercial center developed where present-day Aviano is situated, with a cultural and defensive center in the castle area. In 1911 one of the first airfields of the Italian Air Force was built in Aviano. The base was among the first ones available to Italian aviation, which in the following years enlarged and became increasingly important until it became the NATO Aviano AB in the 1950s. The Aviano Air Base is why Aviano is home to many American families.

WHO WE ARE

Congregation

The congregation at ABC consists of a diverse population of approximately 95 regular attendees and 85 members, with a seating capacity of approximately 130. We are an English-speaking church composed almost entirely of military members and their families from various denominational backgrounds. We are a multi-generational, international church, but considering most of our congregation is military or related to the Aviano Air Base in some capacity, the average age of our congregation is relatively young compared to most churches. Serving a military population can create drastic fluctuations in attendance; most of our congregation turns over every three years. Additionally, the transient nature of a military church can bring difficulties to areas that a lot of stateside churches take for granted, such as a steady volunteer base, actively engaged regular attendees, etc. However, over the 50 years the church has been established, ABC has been blessed to have all of its needs and more met by both its faithful members and regular attendees.

Services

We are a blended, worship-style church that worships with a team of vocalists and instruments. While we utilize both contemporary and traditional music, we also scrutinize the music to ensure biblical accuracy. We hold one service on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am and live stream our worship services on YouTube. In this way, we foster the ability for people to worship with us even when they are not able to be present in the church, whether for duty requirements, sickness, etc. This also ensures that our services are available to as many people as possible.

OUR MINISTRIES
(All of these ministries are available dependent on qualified member volunteers)

Discipleship

Our discipleship opportunities are designed to help our members get connected to the church family, to grow in their relationship with Christ, so that they are equipped to minister in Aviano or wherever He sends them.

  • One-on-one discipleship: Our one-on-one discipleship process is designed to do just that. A church member is paired with a more experienced follower of Jesus as they learn together how to read the Bible more effectively, how to have a solid prayer life, how to share their faith, and how to be a disciple of Jesus. Currently, our pairs use the book “Growing in Christ: A Thirteen-Week Course for New and Growing Christians.” We have teams of men and women who meet regularly.
  • Men’s and Women’s Bible Study: We have two men’s Bible study groups and two women’s Bible study groups that gather at the church throughout the week to study the Bible together and deepen their relationships with the Lord.
  • Homegroup Discipleship: Homegroups have been an important part of the ministry of this church, and they will resume in the summer of 2024. We have both English and Italian groups.

Children’s Ministry

Children’s Ministry is a core function of our church. As our children are constantly being molded, it is important that we, as a church family, mold them into disciples of God and not of Earth. Children are not the church of tomorrow; they are the church of today. Sunday mornings are a special time when we teach children about God and the Bible in a fun, energetic way that helps make faith come alive in their hearts. Most of the children in our church are under 12 years of age. We have Sunday morning programs for nursery, preschool, and Kindergarten-Second grade.

Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a week-long, exciting time of singing, activities, and Bible lessons for ages four through twelve. We usually hold it at the end of July to allow for newly arriving families to take part. Most years, our VBS reaches anywhere from 50-75 children with the gospel.

AWANA

Awana helps churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. Each week, parents, volunteers, and mentors lead and guide the children in the study of God’s word through stories, games, and scripture memory. Our programs offer a proven approach for evangelizing and discipling kids in the church and community. By allowing students to dive deep into the Scriptures and answer these questions for themselves, we allow them to explore their faith and discover what they actually believe. Awana is offered Sunday evenings from September through May.

Youth Ministry
The teen years are some of the most crucial for the development and discovery of authentic faith for young people. Our focus is on the discipleship of Middle and High School students, challenging and leading our youth to answer Jesus’ call to “follow Him.” We do this through Bible study, games, lock-ins, retreats, and other fun, biblically focused events.

Young Adults Ministry
For servicemen and locals ages 18 to 30, the Young Adults Ministry in Aviano provides a safe haven that promotes spiritual development and community. Members participate in fellowship and biblical teachings through regular meetings and online exchanges. Deep discussions and encouragement from one another are fostered by the exchange of Bible teachings, verses, and quotes in the group chat. Individualized guidance from mentors fosters personal development and responsibility. The ministry, which is rooted in Scripture, equips young adults to face life’s obstacles with steadfast faith. As a team, they are a lighthouse of illumination and hope, committed to achieving spiritual development and a closer bond with God.

Men’s Ministry
The Men’s Ministry has a variety of opportunities throughout the year for men to go deeper in their relationship with the Lord as well as to fellowship with other men along the way. These include the monthly men’s prayer/fellowship gatherings, men’s Bible studies, and retreats. We have a place for men of all ages, backgrounds, and stages of life.

Women’s Ministry
Women’s ministries play a vital role as they provide spiritual guidance, encouragement, fellowship opportunities, and support. At ABC, there are weekly Bible studies available to participate in and a monthly LIFT (Ladies in Fellowship Together) event where the women of the church gather for fellowship and to share a meal. We also have an extension to the women’s ministry, Mommy and Me, specifically tailored to women in the postpartum period with young children. At each gathering, as we dig deeper into scripture, our goal is to know and love Jesus more as we encourage each other to lead more to love Jesus.

Worship Ministry

Our aim as a church is to strive to conform the worship services at Aviano Baptist to Scripture. We sing and play instruments to both traditional and contemporary psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs in an effort to praise God with all that He has graciously given us and to teach one another about the Triune God and His work to save fallen man through biblically saturated songs. With a shepherd’s heart for the flock of Christ, we keep a watchful eye on the lyrical content of songs as well as their sources for biblical fidelity.

MISSIONS

The Pastor is the ex-officio member of the Missions Committee; he provides leadership in the planning, organization, and conduct of missions work at ABC. We are currently involved in the following missions:

  • Firewood for Crihana Veche, Moldova: It takes just $400 per family to provide enough wood to keep warm through the winter. Every year we raise money to help purchase firewood for extremely poor families in the Moldovan village of Crihana Veche. This ABC mission has been going strong since 2014.
  • Local Missions: In the fall, through AWANA, we collect food for a local food drive.
  • Missions Committee: A missions committee is being formed so we can go when and where we are called.

MOLDOVA

Aviano Baptist Church has been involved with mission work worldwide. For the last several years, we have had the privilege of serving Christ in the poorest country in all of Europe: Moldova. Crihana Veche is a small village in the southern part of the country that is home to a small, dedicated group of believers who make up Crihana Veche Baptist Church. Partnering with them has given Aviano Baptist Church amazing opportunities to bless other Christians and be a light to unbelievers by donating to many of their local Church ministries. Some of these ministries include providing firewood in the winter, supporting the Church-run foster home, and offering other community support.

Beyond just providing funds to these God-honoring causes, Aviano Baptist Church hosts an annual mission trip to see and work in these ministries firsthand. Team members of the trip deliver the firewood that was collected, run the children’s program for the week, preach at churches in neighboring villages, and speak to the youth groups.

While providing for physical needs is surely a blessing, the greatest part about partnering with the believers at Crihana Veche Baptist Church is that every program they offer is a vehicle to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. The witnessing opportunities team members will see on a mission trip to Moldova will stretch and grow even the most mature believer. Seeing the commitment of our Christian brothers and sisters in Moldova continues to be a blessing beyond measure.

Grace Baptist Church, Grafenwöhr, Germany: Full-time Pastor

Job Title: Full-time Pastor

Location: Grace Baptist Church, Grafenwöhr, Germany

Grace Baptist Church, a self-supporting denominationally diverse congregation located in Grafenwöhr, Germany, is in search of a full-time pastor. Grafenwöhr is located approximately forty miles NE of Nuremberg in the German State of Bavaria. It is a community of more than 35,000 people. More than 28,000 of these are English speaking, consisting mostly of military personnel, civilian government employees and their families.

We are a congregation of approximately 115 people consisting of families with children, single soldiers, older adults, and German citizens. We own our church building, which has a seating capacity of 120 people per service. We have a full program of worship to include: two Sunday services, nursery, children’s church, youth class, and weekly home groups along with a weekly ladies’ Bible study and a monthly men’s breakfast.

The church is a member of the International Baptist Convention. The convention is made up of English-language international churches and church plants located in more than 20 countries. In addition to our church, there is one other Baptist congregation in the area, at least three congregations of other denominations, and two military chapels ministering to the English-speaking community.

The transient nature of the military community brings about the loss of 20-30 percent of the congregation every year due to the regular military rotations. Even with all the movement, the church is volunteer operated with the pastor and part-time treasurer being the only paid staff.

For more information about the church, please go to our website www.gbc-graf.org and click on the Profile link under the Connect tab. If God is leading you to respond, please contact the Pulpit Search Committee at [email protected] by June 30, 2024. Please include your résumé and sermon links.

International Bible Church of Armenia: Pastor

Position Seeking: Pastor

International Bible Church of Armenia in Yerevan is looking for a biblically qualified and called pastor. We are an elder-led church, and the elders share pastoral and preaching responsibilities, yet we are calling for a full-time (teaching elder/lead pastor), to work in a cross-cultural, multi-ethnic church-plant.

The candidate would be a missionary/pastor, and would need to raise their support for this calling – (Armenia has a relatively low cost of living, as it is a developing nation, thus a high amount of support is unnecessary). The congregation and people of ministry would be primarily among English-speaking Americans, Indians, Russians, Persians, Kurds, and Armenians. We also have many other ethnicities within the country and in the city of Yerevan.

The primary ministries of the TE elder/lead pastor would be pastoral, preaching/teaching, & organizing events within the church, along with strategizing for evangelism for Persian outreach, Russian outreach, etc…, We have the vision to start more churches within the country, and surrounding countries, so the candidate must share a passion for missions and church-planting. Our church is a missional church and is strategically located to make an impact in Armenia and among the unreached neighboring nations.
