David serves as pastor of North Sea Baptist Church in Stavanger, Norway.  Growing up with a father in the oil industry, he is a third culture kid turned third culture pastor.  He has served NSBC for thirteen years and was also baptized there as a child. He is a graduate of Houston Baptist University and took courses at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary before earning a Masters in Global Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary.

He and his wife Scottie have two school-aged daughters Lily and Ellie.  They have enjoyed raising their children in the IBC and the many incredible relationships they have made through our convention.

David’s greatest joy in ministry is investing in leaders and seeing the impact of their growth.  He hopes that the Empowering Leaders Core Strategy uplifts IBC leaders and helps their reach to exceed their grasp!
