Purpose

We are excited about what we expect to be a great week!  Euroventure is designed for students who completed 6th-13th grades or the European equivalent (ages 12-19).

Euroventure will help students understand what a relationship with Christ is all about.  It will also provide a training ground and next-level experience for students who desire a deeper walk.

Euroventure is filled with a good balance of spiritual growth, physical activity, fun and games, fellowship, and worship.  This summer we will once again offer some amazing activities during the week of camp, including canyoning, a ropes course, and hiking in the gorgeous Swiss Alps.

We expect students to have the maturity necessary to participate in Euroventure in accordance with the rules we have listed on this page.  Please make sure you communicate these to your students clearly and know that we will be depending upon the adult leaders to see that this happens.  Euroventure is going to be fun for your students.  However, our greater purpose is to help them grow deeper in their understanding of the grace of God and in their relationship with Jesus Christ!

This summer our camp speaker will be Jason Cook.

Jason is the associate pastor for preaching at Fellowship Memphis, Tennessee.  A native of Birmingham, Alabama (southern USA), he spent his high-school years in Suwanee, Georgia.  Jason earned a football scholarship to Ole Miss where he played 4 years as a running back.  Though raised in a home that taught him to love and fear God, it was not until his sophomore year at Ole Miss when he began to walk faithfully with Jesus.  In 2009, he enjoyed a brief time with the Baltimore Ravens (American football professional team) before embracing the call to ministry.

Since college, Jason has traveled the U.S., preaching God’s Word in a variety of diverse environments. He has also been involved in helping to plant churches, including his key role in helping to build Iron City Church (Birmingham, AL). It was here that Jason faithfully led, taught, and shepherded a young congregation to embrace the ideal of multi-ethnic ministry.

Jason holds an M.Div from Beeson Divinity School. It was during his time there that he met his beautiful bride, Courtney. They were married in 2013 and have two delightful children: Charlie and Cager. The Cooks live and breathe discipleship, hospitality, and service.

To find out more about Jason and his family, check out this video that explains how they ended up in Memphis, Tennessee.

In addition to Jason’s teaching, we will have a team of volunteers from universities and churches throughout the U.S. and Europe, supplying leadership in the roles of small group leaders, break-out session teachers, music, and drama leaders.

A special training time for youth workers and volunteers will be held during the breakout sessions. We are very excited about the opportunity to have youth pastors and lay leaders from all over Europe together for a time to be encouraged, receive training and resources, and connect with other leaders.

Euroventure is a unique camp bringing English-speaking students from nations all over the world for a camp that for so many has become a place of spiritual growth and a place that lifelong friendships have been formed, right in the heart of Switzerland in the middle of God’s majestic creation of the Swiss Alps.
