Having a church constitution is an important part of the governance of the church.  But knowing what to include and how to formulate it could be difficult.  We’ve helped you with that by writing a SAMPLE constitution and by-laws that you can use as your guide.  Please see the Introduction section for more information.  We’ve also included a framework document which gives you a list of items that you should consider including in your constitution and by-laws.

NOTE:  In these days of COVID-19, you may want to include a provision in your by-laws so that you can hold electronic meetings.
